I have been impressed with and in awe of General Motors and their pivot to the EV industry. GM (and to a lesser degree Ford too) has decided to invest in the manufacturing of the building blocks that support the entire EV industry - battery development and manufacturing, domestic material sourcing, concurrent fuel cell development, and all the associated components - like controllers and battery management systems. By creating this infrastructure, GM in a way has assured that a variety of new vehicle manufacturers will be successful, since they will not have to reinvent the wheel so to speak. In that same spirit, GM is now turning to the electrification of some of its most classic internal combustion engined vehicles from the past.
