We know how great audio description is for making the arts accessible for visually impaired people but could AD help sighted people in guiding their eyes when looking at works of art in a museum and help them to retain information?

Well Dr Rachel Hutchinson has just completed her PHD looking into the benefits of recorded audio description for both blind and sighted people.

The first part of Dr Rachel Hutchinson\\u2019s research focused on the use of audio description for sighted museum visitors while the second part of her research looked at how adding sound affects to recorded audio descriptions could help blind and partially sighted people retain more information about the work of art being described.
