A Return To Northumberland With “Pride”

There was a time when Sarah Stephenson-Hunter didn’t feel like she could be herself. But after losing her sight in 2011 and her father shortly after, Sarah decided that she could no longer live a lie. Currently working as a Disability Adviser at University of Nottingham, Sarah will return home and take part in the 2018 Great North Run to help raise money for Northumberland Pride. Chatting about living as a blind transgender woman, Sarah shares her story with RNIB Connect Radio’s Simon Pauley.
