Baptist & The Bestie

John the Baptist was sent into the world as a sign to ‘the then’ expected messiah, ‘the then’ expected salvation, ‘the then’ coming best friend Jesus The Christ.

John the Baptist lived, baptized many, cried out in the desert about that ‘coming’ and announced about the GRACE that was to come, typically prepared the way, died and gone. But, Jesus our Bestie who came just after him, still lives, does His ministry through the Holy Spirit and will live for ever. He did go to His Father after His earthly assignment but not to be gone forever, but waiting to be invited in to the hearts of people who believe in Him, so that He can come and take aboard in your life boat for good.

Here in this thought provoking, deep-dive sermon, Rev. John Samuel talks about how each of us who is saved by grace is the greatest sign for the glorious things to come. Here, the man of God kindles our thoughts and ignites the fire in our hearts of how we need to be ‘go-getters’ with the  Holy Spirit in times as these.

If John the Baptist was the sign for the ‘then times’, the church is the sign for the ‘now times’.
Priest John came as a preparer for the KING JESUS. Priestly anointing precedes the Kingly anointing. You are priests & kings, literally engaging in the priestly service unto God and working in the Kingdom as servants with King's heart with Kingly authority. You are today's priests (true worshippers) in the world, as a sign to the KING OF KINGS Jesus Christ, who is to come again. Maranatha! John the Baptist came as a sign to denote that ‘barren-ness’ cannot exist anymore. He came as a profound statement, ‘THERE IS NOTHING IMPOSSIBLE WITH GOD’. His birth into this world portrayed that, God is personally working on the ‘REPROACH REMOVAL’ for His children. This applies to the ones who trusted in the Lord, who fervently prayed to the Lord.

John came late. It was embarrassing for his parents Zechariah & Elizabeth. But still he was gifted to them by God after such a long wait. God did not disappoint them or let them go through shame for ever. God will not disappoint you. In your lives too, even if it’s a long wait, it’s coming now. Don’t give up, take heart, the solution coming to you will be glorious. God wants to take glory though that solution that He wants to give you. Every solution that you receive will serve to be the sign for the next upcoming glorious deed of the Lord in your very lives.

Listen, watch, be blessed - share it with someone and make yourself a channel of blessing!
