b'Exponent is doing something a little different than the other pilot winners for the National Strategy for Trusted Identities in Cyberspace. The company\\u2019s pilot has a significant hardware component to its test and will look at using different secure elements in the identity ecosystem. \\u201cWe will demonstrate two form factors,\\u201d says said Brad McGoran, a principal engineer at Exponent. \\u201cOne will leverage the UICC in a phone, and the other\\u2019s going to leverage a secure element that\\u2019s embedded in a wearable device, and we\\u2019ve called that wearable device a PAD \\u2013 or a Personal Authentication Device.\\u201d'
