Former Redemption teaching minister Drew Thurman examines our neglect of the Spirit — mostly out of fear of those who seem to abuse the Spirit in excess — and how this has stunted our missional muscles. Through this understanding, we can rediscover God's voice, the Spirit's movements in our neighborhoods, and participate with what God is already doing for mission. When we focus on God's agency, rather than human agency, revival and renewal begins to happen.

Drew was on staff at Redemption from 2012-2018 as both a student and teaching minister. He and his family moved to the greater Boston, Mass., area in 2018 to plant Renaissance Christian Church.
