Real Estate Investing: FTC Sues Housing Flipping "Guru"

A federal judge has issued a temporary restraining order against a Utah-based company that offers “free” celebrity-endorsed fix-and-flip educational seminars that can end up costing thousands of dollars. The Federal Trade Commission and the Utah Division of Consumer Protection asked for the injunction as they pursue charges against Zurixx LLC and its affiliates. The complaint accuses Zurixx of misleading and deceptive conduct that includes the use of celebrities as bait to lure consumers to their seminars where they pitched more expensive workshops and services.
