Joe Donnelly is a journalist and author, who works for the Celtic View magazine. He swapped a career in plumbing for journalism, with a round-the-world trip in between the two, and after writing for PC Gamer about one of his passions \\u2013 video games \\u2013 he joined Celtic in 2018, writing about his other passion \\u2013 football and, in particular, Celtic.

In 2019, he published his first book, Homegrown Hero, the biography of Celtic player, James Forrest, to great success and, like the proverbial buses, you wait years for a Joe Donnelly book and two come along almost at the same time.

In July 2020, Scottish publishers 404 Ink will bring out Joe\\u2019s new book \\u2013 Checkpoint: How Video Games Power Up Minds, Kick Ass and Save Lives.
