The Forgiveness of Your Sins

Some who are unsure about evangelism, wonder why many people seemingly accept Jesus, but then go on with life as usual. But I believe that if God truly meets someone - whether it’s in a church, or in a conversation with a Christian friend, or in a Bible study - it’s impossible to remain the same person. Martin Luther once wrote, “This grace of God is a very great, strong, mighty and active thing. It does not lie asleep in the soul. Grace hears, leads, drives, draws, changes, works all in man, and lets itself be distinctly felt and experienced. It is hidden, but its works are evident.”   God’s grace is the most powerful change agent in the world. This side of Heaven, all of us are still human. So yes, sin will continue. But the Holy Spirit lives in you, and when you accept Jesus, He transforms your heart and mind. God’s Spirit in us provides us with all the power we need. If you are struggling with guilt as a Christian - remember your sins have been forgiven. You were not meant to carry the burden of shame. The Bible tells us that if we confess our sins He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins (1 John 1:9). Confess to the Father today. He wants to purify your conscience and give you peace through His forgiveness. And you will see how His amazing grace continues to work change in your life and the lives of those around you.   This is Luis Palau.
