b'RadioRotary interviews Geoff Miller, Chair of the Steering Committee for the Reher Center for Immigrant Culture and History, a project of the Jewish Federation of Ulster County. The Center is a museum celebrating all the immigrants who settled the region, not just the Jews, and occupies a 19th-century Jewish bakery that primarily served the immigrants who streamed into America throughout the 19th and early 20th centuries. The museum aims to depict immigrant life of that period. The Reher Center, at 99-101 Broadway in the Historic Roundout waterfront of Kingston, New York, is located in the part of Kingston that was originally a small community on the Hudson, while Kingston itself occupied the bluff above the river. The Center is a work in progress, with the museum only open a few hours a week at present.
