b'Steve Laubach and Don Verity, along with former Highland Rotarian\\nJamie Anson, tell about the glories of eating barbecue (and listening to music) at the thirteenth annual Ribfest, Ulster County Fairgrounds just outside New Paltz. In addition to great food and music by local performers, the Ribfest has many activities for children and some special events. The $7 admission (free parking) allows you to spend time at the Chef Demonstration Tent, where not only do local chefs, the Culinary Institute of America, and other professionals provide cooking and decorating tips, but also there are free samples of the foods being demonstrated. Next door, local, vintners, brewers, and distillers allow you to sample their products as well.
