We read the delightful and surprising novel Silver Linings Playbook by Matthew Quick (2008) and watched its 2012 adaptation directed by David O. Russell starring Bradley Cooper and Jennifer Lawrence! Apart from our general delight in the character of Pat Peoples, we marvel at the fact that we actually enjoyed a book that's largely about football! Our discussion of the film is basically a 20 minute giggle fest as we recount the funniest moment and Ginny discovers her ultimate beefboy moment as Bradley Cooper tap dances his way into her heart.
