He took them and everything that belonged to him, and he helped them cross the river. But Jacob stayed apart by himself, and a man wrestled with him until dawn broke. When the man saw that he couldn\\u2019t defeat Jacob, he grabbed Jacob\\u2019s thigh and tore a muscle in Jacob\\u2019s thigh as he wrestled with him. The man said, \\u201cLet me go because the dawn is breaking.\\u201d\\nBut Jacob said, \\u201cI won\\u2019t let you go until you bless me.\\u201d\\nHe said to Jacob, \\u201cWhat\\u2019s your name?\\u201d and he said, \\u201cJacob.\\u201d 28 Then he said, \\u201cYour name won\\u2019t be Jacob any longer, but Israel, because you struggled with God and with men and won.\\u201d\\nJacob also asked and said, \\u201cTell me your name.\\u201d\\nBut he said, \\u201cWhy do you ask for my name?\\u201d and he blessed Jacob there.
