Many churches today are faced with the prospect that their doors might close for good.\\xa0 So, the effort then begins to "save" that work.\\xa0 There are many steps a church needs to go through in order to revitalize a congregation.\\xa0 But the first step a declining church must take is to ask themselves why they want to save "their" church. \\xa0

Because if our motives are self-centered, not God-centered, then we will fail to preserve a church that does what God designed the church to do. \\xa0
