At Christmas each year we read the story in Matthew and Luke about Jesus' virgin conception.\\xa0 And Matthew tells us that it was predicted 700 years before by the prophet Isaiah when he said, "Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a Son, and you shall call His Immanuel."

And each year there are those who would cast doubt on the virgin conception by saying that this prophecy in Isaiah had nothing to do with the Coming Messiah, and that Matthew mishandled Scripture by quoting from the Greek translation of the original Hebrew text. \\xa0
