Happy Sunday Punky Peeps, Angela Bowen here, the host of Punky Power: An Unofficial Punky Brewster Podcast. Tonight, I'm covering S3E13: The Matchmaker, which aired in November 13, 1987. In this episode Punky sets Henry up with the school librarian, while Mrs. Johnson goes on a dating game show. This episode was hilarious from Henry belting out tunes like Celebrate, My Girl and Born to be Wild as well as dressing like Don Johnson from Miami Vice. Also Betty going on the gameshow and her other two contestants one a astrologer whos not all there mentally and a woman whos so desperate she'll take any man as long as he's breathing and she gets into it with Betty and causes a fight with her. It was an all out brawl as the host of Dream Date Johnny Prince tries to break it up. When her date chooses her Betty is shocked to discover her dream date is a rather large man with glasses and a sweater vest. Classic 80's Nerd Attire. Sadly, Henry has to break it off with Ms. Maytag the school librarian who's 15 years his junior and lives life on the wild side hence jumping hedges with motorcycles but surprisingly Betty's date with Chuck her dream date is a hit as they come in dancing the tango.
