Hey Punky Peeps, Well, That's A Wrap On Season 2 Punky Peeps! Hi, i'm Angela Bowen the host of Punky Power: An Unofficial Punky Power Podcast. With the completion of the Season 2 Finale of Punky Brewster S2E22: Accidents Happen which aired on March 9, 1986. Punky's dream is to become an astronaut when she grows up. When she sees the explosion of the Challenger Space Shuttle on TV, she is devastated. I learned so much recording this episode regarding the space program and I even had someone close to me talk about their experience when they saw the Challenger Explosion in January of 1986. That special guest was my husband Jeremy who you will hear for a couple of minutes in the beginning. I would have had him on longer but he didn't have anything else to say on the subject. I also went on a mini tangent about Sylvester Stallone and his country singing movie Rhinestone with Dolly Parton. Thanks a lot Allen, you just had to be dressed as Rambo, didn't you ? For Mike explaining to his class what happened and have the kids express how they were feeling. 4. For Buzz Aldrin's appearance and inviting Punky to join the Young Explorers program. 5. For the end scene of Punky and Brandon looking out her bedroom window at the night sky as she tells him someday they'll be out there amongst the stars. Punky's Principles: I think it's very important when a tragedy like this occurs that parents and teachers talk to their children and students and allow them to express what they're feeling, asking their questions and admitting their fears. Well everyone that's a wrap for the completion of Season 2 of Punky Brewster. I'll do a little recap of what I liked and didnt like of Season 2 and my hopes for the characters as we go into Season 3 in January.
