Hello Punky Peeps, Happy Spring, here's a new episode of Punky Power: An Unofficial Punky Brewster Podcast to put a smile on your face as we welcome the warmer weather. This episode Punky Get Her Own Room which aired on October 7, 1984 is one of 6 mini episodes. It's only 11 minutes long due to the fact that in the 80's when football games went into overtime it would cut into the younger viewer's Punky watching time, so the network decided to air six 11 minute episodes. In this episode Punky decides she needs her own room, so with the help of her friends Cherie and maintenance guy Eddie they take Henry's study and transform it into a vibrant haven of a bedroom that any young girl would be envious of. What will Henry think when he gets home and will Punky get to keep her new room? Listen to find out. During this episode I talk about my difficulty adjusting to living with my relatives when I was seven and also when I got a new room complete with waterbed when I was 10. I did not mention it in the episode but I thought of it after I recorded the podcast. When my childhood room went through a transformation I was 5 or 6 and my mother and aunt changed my room from Sesame Street to a pink little girls room,with a little bonnet headed girl border. It reminded me of Strawberry Shortcake.
