Hey Punky Peeps, Angela Bowen here, the host of Punky Brewster: An Unofficial Punky Brewster Podcast. As you’ve probably heard the Punky Power Podcast will upload it’s final episode the Season 4 Finale Wedding Bells For Brandon on June 26, 2018. I’d like to see what you all think would happen to the characters in the future. Can you imagine Punky in high school in the 90s? What fashion trends would she adapt? Punky in flannel and or big floppy hats like Blossom. What kind of music would she listen to? Britney Spears, N’Sync, Spice Girls (Can you see Punky rocking out to Wannabe, I sure can) Backstreet Boys, Alanis Morissette, Jewel. What about TV Shows? Would she be into The Simpsons or go ga ga over JTT (Jonathan Taylor Thomas) He was all the rage in the mid 90s. What about My So Called Life or, oh yeah, definitely Beverly Hills 90210. Do you think she would become an astronaut or maybe develop other career interests? Like fashion, maybe making her own clothes. Do you think the girls would remain friends? I know they would. Although junior high and high school would be a challenge as interests change and you start finding yourself. Cliques in junior high and high school I can see trying to force the girls apart. Do you think she ever sees her mom again? Can you see Punky readily accepting her mother back in to her life or would she resent her for abandoning her? How about Cherie and Margaux? I can see Margaux in Prep School for her high school years than move on to Harvard or Yale. I can see Cherie becoming an architect and buying the old apartment building they lived in and redesigning it. In my mind Allen comes back to Chicago from Kansas and starts high school but instead of being goofy he’s more serious into science or engineering. He and Cherie would definitely date. I’ll talk more about this in the finale episode.
