Happy Full House Friday Tanner Fans, Angela Bowen here, the host of Oh Mylanta Holy Chalupas: An Unofficial Full House Fuller House Podcast. The Theme for the month of August is Birthdays because I'll be celebrating my birthday later this month. DJ is the first character out of the four Full House and Fuller House Birthday Themed Episodes, I have chosen to focus on. Today I covered Full House S3E17: 13 Candles which aired on February 9, 1990. In this episode the family causes D.J. to become embarrassed at her 13th birthday party, and she admits that she has some feelings for a special boy. This episode also features DJ's first kiss (and a first kiss for Candace Cameron too) the rest of the family have their own plots going on this episode, Danny and Becky are practicing the Tango for the next Wake Up San Francisco segment to air the following week, Joey and Stephanie are going out to the Daffy Duck Film Festival and Jesse and Michelle are obedience training Comet. I absolutely loved Kevin Gwin in this episode, he's such a sweetheart and I couldn't think of a nicer boy for DJ to share her first kiss with. Becky gives DJ great advice about how a kiss is personal and how it shouldn't be something you do because everyone else is doing it, it'll happen at the right time, with the right guy. I loved her story about the three legged race with her crush and how they went for a walk and bumped heads trying to untie the knot holding their legs together then they laugh and fall over and then the guy kisses Becky. Such a sweet story. DJ's kiss happened naturally in the backyard with Kevin just the two of them not in the living room playing spin the bottle surrounded by 20 of their classmates in their face and breathing down their neck chanting kiss, kiss, kiss pressuring the heck out of them. Kimmy scared Kevin off. Way to go Kimmy, I get that her heart was in the right place but seriously back off. Her and Kathy Santoni both.
