59: Robert Crown: Suffering Ends When Awakening Begins

Published: Aug. 31, 2020, 7 a.m.

In this episode we're joined by Award Winning Author Robert Crown. After living through the experiences described in his Award Winning book, Suffering Ends When Awakening Begins, Robert succeeded in breaking the patterns of dysfunction that had been a part of his family for generations. Robert was born and raised in the northwest suburbs of Chicago. Despite a challenging youth when he faced his own near-death and the death of a loved one, he overcame his trials and learned the importance of helping his family, friends, and those around him. As an adult, Robert has volunteered in community service organizations and has worked with youth and seniors. He has also served on the board of directors of his local chamber of commerce. His curiosity and love of travel have taken him to Japan six times. He is married to his beautiful wife Lynn, and together they have four beautiful children whom he teaches to think for themselves and to use their thoughts to create the lives they want. He still lives in the Chicago area, where he has owned and operated a residential real estate brokerage for sixteen years.

One year after publishing Suffering Ends When Awakening Begins, Robert was awarded a Bronze Medal in Readers' Favorite 2018 International Book Awards.  Becoming an International Award Winning Author was not a goal for Robert, nor was it ever a thought. His intention for his book from the first word and the only reason he wrote it, was to give people hope, faith, and courage to overcome the challenges they face in their own life.  It seems that his intention has been imbued into his book, by the extremely positive responses he has been receiving. It brings Robert great joy to be able to have an impact and improve the quality of someone's life even if it's in some small way. For this, he is genuinely grateful.

In this episode Robert shares his story of overcoming a traumatic childhood, the power of our thoughts and how we can create the lives we want through changing our vibration. We also dive into our relationship with the divine and how we perceive God/higher power/source.
