He earned his MD from The University of Cape Town, completed his residency in Pediatric Surgery at Ohio State University\\u2019s Columbus Children\\u2019s Hospital, completed his general surgery residency at the University of Toronto, and earned his Ph.D. in Liver Carbohydrate Metabolism and the effect of glucose metabolism on liver transplant immunology.
