When your baby is born they are susceptible to getting sick because their immune system is so immature. If your baby is exposed to a bacteria or virus it is going to be harder for them to fight it off, than a child who is older or an adult. This can present a challenge when friends and family want to visit your newborn baby, and especially during flu season.
