Q&A: Placental Lake

Published: Aug. 16, 2017, 7:30 a.m.

We have become so addicted to ultrasounds, and there is so much information we can get from an ultrasound that we wouldn’t otherwise know.  This has a lot of benefits when we can catch something early, but in some cases, it can sound off alarms when they may not be needed. A placental lake is something that would only be discovered on an ultrasound. This episode covers what a placental lake is, some of the research behind placental lakes, and whether they can affect you and your baby.
