Shri Yogesh Gadhvi imbibed the rich music tradition of his region at an early age. He began actively performing Charani Sangeet and Daayro style of folk poetic renditions. Yogesh Gadhvi has dedicated all his life to uplifting the Gujarati art culture through reciting verses and enlivened the art of traditional Daayro at various national and international platforms. He is associated with an organization Lok Kala and Charani Sahitya Sansthan through which he continues to promote the folk music of Gujarat. For his services to literature and music, Shri Gadhvi has been honored with the Gujarat Gaurav Puraskar by the Government of Gujarat. He is also a recipient of the prestigious Sangeet Natak Akademi Award for his contribution to the folk music of Gujarat.
