In episode #4 of Positive Changes: A Self-Kick Podcast, Shelley F. Knight discussed ways in which we can approach forgiveness, through the titles of:\nBE PRESENT\nLIFE GOES ON\nFROM BLAME TO CLAIM\nSTOP THE SEARCH\nLOVE LOVE LOVE
\nPsychologists generally define forgiveness as a conscious, deliberate decision to release feelings of resentment or vengeance toward a person or group who has harmed you, regardless of whether they actually deserve your forgiveness.
\nForgiveness does not mean forgetting, nor does it mean condoning or excusing offenses that have happened to or around you. Forgiveness is not even about the other person, it is about you. For me, forgiveness is like cutting a rope that is holding us back in the past. Cut the rope and propel yourself into a brighter future.
