Leo's final foster home in the rich neighborhood of Palos Verdes, Los Angeles, creates a new way of looking at things. He realizes that he will be aging out of the system, and while his friends are preparing for a college career funded by their parents, he needs to develop his own life skills. He decides on his goals, and prepares himself to be self-sufficient, reliable, and works two jobs to get money to start his new life after high school.
