Are there lessons to learn from the recent events surrounding the total collapse of the government of Afghanistan? What are the gains for regional powers? They’ve been several global events that have been building up in the past few years and months that are climaxing the unfolding realities we are witnessing today.

The unfolding global events in the past few days, particularly, the heartbreaking sense we saw coming out of Afghanistan should represent deliberate coordination of the collapse of the nation, or share reflection of ignorance, blindness, and total connection of what international leadership diplomacy means.

Either way, the Lord is clearly speaking to the church on various levels through these senses in order to further understand the nature of the days we've been ushered in. There are many lessons to learn from this failed leadership we've been from those who claim to be international leadership gatekeepers.

Both the American leadership and their NATO allies were caught on a backfoot. They all dropped the ball, and they need to take full responsibility for what transpired in the past few days.  What happened to the Afghan leadership? Why did the President flee his post of duty? What happened to the negotiations that were taking place in Doha between the American government, the Afghanistan government and the Taliban, and other regional players?

There are lots of unanswered questions that need to be examined and answered to understand what happened. How does an organization classify as a terrorist organization allowed to seize power from a democratically elected government?
