PRAYING THE WORD INITIATIVE. DEALING WITH THE ISSUE OF SIN IN PRAYER. PART 7. BEYOND DEVOTIONAL SERIES 175

Today, the 15th of November.

Luke 12:31 But seek His kingdom, and these things will be added unto you. 32 Do not be afraid, little flock, for your Father is pleased to give you the kingdom.

We shall be focusing on the issue of Sin as a hindrance to our development and effective prayer life. As we’ve learned that sin is far more than a rebellious or disobedient act before the Lord. Sin has become the default character of all unredeemed souls. Therefore, we need to be sure and certain that through the shedding of blood of Jesus Christ our Lord, we have been redeemed and translated into the kingdom of God.

But it’s not enough just to have this knowledge, we have to maintain this knowledge through the new life we have in Christ. However, in the case of those who are yet to give their hearts to the Lord, their so-called prayer cannot be answered. The scripture says the Lord does not answer the prayers of the wicked.

In the case of those of us we have accepted and are working in the light of the new man in Christ, we should keep our path on the tail of this new experience of daily cultivating that relationship.   We should never give room for anything or anyone the enemy can use to cut the flow of our relationship to the degree that we begin to allow the sin nature to creep into our heart again.
