KINGDOM ARCHITECTURE. TIMOTHY AND HIS CALLING TO FOLLOW PAUL. ACTS CHAPTER 16. PART 117

Acts chapter 16 presents an important but almost lost biblical principle in the Body of Christ. Once again, we are introduced to the power and function of discipleship as key to unleashing our leadership potential.

Act 16

1 Paul came to Derbe and then to Lystra, where a disciple named Timothy lived, whose mother was Jewish and a believer but whose father was a Greek. 2 The believers at Lystra and Iconium spoke well of him.

As the Lord continues to engage us with the necessary tools in the reformation and restoration of his Church, the Ecclesia should carefully consider these core values, as they are the framework of building the Third-Day house that will not only inhabit the knowledge of God, but can also manifest the authority and power of the kingdom within a world system whose culture and philosophy has become anti-Christ.

A true kingdom community must develop the atmosphere in which the 'Timothy's' of the Church can grow and be genuinely nurtured, in a manner that prepares them for the type of Paul's ministry as the mission of the Good News continues across the nations.  Timothy was introduced as a known disciple] visible, faithful, and committed by the brethren of Lystra and Iconium. The commendation of the brethren recommends Timothy as accurate assistance to Paul in his journey. This is a powerful gesture of approval that we hardly hear or see today in the Body of Christ.

The subject of discipleship needs to be highlighted precisely as a critical factor that defines and determines our commitment to the things of God and the maturing of the Church. Many would like to be used BY God, but the brethren do not speak well of them around.
