The meaning of breakthrough comes from the Hebrew word, Perets. This word means to burst forth. To breach, as in breaking a gap, or to experience an outbreak. One of the mentalities the Lord desires us to have in this era is the attitude of Perets; we must develop a breakthrough capacity if we are to enter our spiritual inheritance.

This scripture captures the spirit of breakthrough even as we press further into the days before us.

Isaiah 54: 1 "Shout for joy, O barren woman, who bears no children; break forth in song and cry aloud, you who have never travailed; because more are the children of the desolate woman than of her who has a husband," says the LORD.2 "Enlarge the site of your tent, stretch out the curtains of your dwellings, do not hold back. Lengthen your ropes and drive your stakes in deep.

We are in days where the consistency of our growth and DEVELOPMENT must be measured within the FRAMEWORK of a continuous REDEFINITION, REINVENTION, and a precise RESTRUCTURING of our lives such that our input and contribution to the corporate community of the BODY OF CHRIST helps her stay ahead of the spirit of Pharaoh and the Herod's of our time seeking to kill the SEED and HARVEST OF THIS NEW DAY.

Learning to live With a BREAKTHROUGH capacity mentality in EGYPT or BABYLON without getting corrupt or being overwhelmed by its fallen values system is a powerful key to the SURVIVAL and advancement of the third-day church.
