BEYOND DEVOTION 2019 There is an invitation being sent out to all those longing and desiring to see the appearing of the Lord in this hour be prepared and make themselves ready. The appearing of the Lord will first be evident through the nearness of his kingdom within every sphere of our existence. Our call to be devoted to this invitation cannot be handled with levity. Hearts and minds must be ready, even as we engage with the complex reality of life. Devotion to a follower of Christ ought to be a lifestyle and not to be limited to some religious rituals performed in some specific hour of the day. Starting our day, however, with God’s voice direction, and leading is a wonderful thing that can make the entire day productive. The ministry of God's Word, Prayer, singing in the Spirit, Fasting, Meditation are some of the most beautiful tools given to aid us to engage effectively with the Spirit even as we worship the Father in Spirit and truth. The days before us requires, more than ever before that we go beyond the duty Church service and temple worship. We must embrace a lifestyle powered and authorized by the residence life and the character nature of the Holy Spirit in us, this is the way of devotion. Our righteousness is now required to go beyond the religious virtue of the Pharisees. The Pharisees are known for their perfected act of devotion, however; their heart is far from the essence of sound, biblical devotional lifestyle. To try to engage in any form of creative or productive service, regardless of how well read and clued-up we think we are in the such a field, is to fail without the express assistance of the Spirit of God.
