The impact of loneliness and social isolation is an often-forgotten issue, and yet it is one that impacts our society more than most people understand.  When you consider that social isolation as you age can negatively impact your physical health in the same way that smoking a pack of cigarettes can, you begin to understand why.  Maureen Feldman runs the Social Isolation and Loneliness Collaborative at Motion Picture & Television Fund, an effort also backed by AARP and some of the leading aging organizations in Los Angeles.  She and I sit down to discuss this looming crisis and what they’re doing to fight it.
