Michigan native Anya Marina may have started out spinning other people's music as a radio DJ at in San Diego, but now the indie songstress looks for her own creations to permeate the airwaves. Since hitting open-mic nights with her quirky mixture of melancholy songs and silly, spot-on impersonations, Marina has released several popular works, including her 2005 album, "Miss Halfway," which caught the attention of Alexandra Patsavas, the cutting-edge music supervisor for powerhouse shows "Grey's Anatomy," "The O.C." and "Gossip Girl," among others.
