In every generation God chooses specific people for a specific purpose. They are to arise and enter by faith into the work God has prepared them to do. The time of wandering in the desert was a time of preparation and now they are to cross over the Jordan. Joshua and the people were a testimony of Moses. God had used Moses to prepare Joshua and Caleb and now the people were to enter in. God promised that He would be with them. He had prepared them for this work. Step out in faith to what the Lord has prepared you for. The people had to join them in this work. They needed to trust in what the Lord had spoken. This was a time for the trying of their faith. God had led them all and joined them together for this work. He had brought them through the wilderness for this. The ground of their confidence was that God would not leave them nor forsake them. The promise of God is that He will be with His people. We must be fully convinced that what God has promised He is able to perform. The task before them was great. We must not be afraid of what will come. We must move forward. God will sustain and help His servants. There must be refinement to bring unity and love to the body. There must be no motivations for ambition or personal glory. The people must go in together. They must be unified. We must follow the leading of the Lord by faith. Do not let a lack of faith keep you from starting a work. They are to arise and join the work of God. The people respond: \\u201cWe will go!\\u201d They would pray for their leaders and pledge their willing participation in the work before them. They would go in and inherit the land that God had promised them.
