b'I love a good love story and it doesn’t get much better than Lynette and Daniel Trawick. Their relationship is a testimony to their strength in the face of challenges that might break other couples but only made them stronger. This interview is the first in a series I call “Love is Love.”

First this interview was a delight! M’Balia Singley, a Philadelphia-based performing artist “who has been exploring and excavating the human condition through story, song and audience engagement for the last quarter century. “

Singley will be performing in “Turn.” Using themes from Shakespeare’s Othello. Here’s the intriguing description: “M’Balia Singley confronts her experience as a Black woman in America with equal parts humor and honesty in this brand-new theatrical work. Turn weaves original songs, comedy, and engrossing stories into a performance that is both sweeping and intimate. From societal expectations to relatable family dysfunction, Singley turns to the unlikely 16th century play and finds connections to our 21st century lives. “
“Turn” will be performed at the Kimmel Center February 29-29th.
