b'Before we get started a final update on running my 8k during the AACR Philadelphia Marathon Weekend. Even though I was sick with a stomach flu the Monday leading up to the race - I made it! I might have been 2884th out of 3,340 and took an hour and 10 minutes - I had the satisfaction of finishing and raising nearly 1500 dollars for the American Association for Cancer Research - an organization I support because they are funding the scientists making the biggest breakthroughs in cancer treatment and prevention. Thanks for all of you who cheered me on and know it\\u2019s never too late to contribute by going to www.aacr.org

I\'m delighted to share a wonderful story that came out of a terrible tragedy. Wagner Middle School was devasted after 13-year-old Jeremiah Wilcox was fatally shot just a block away from the school. A coalition of individuals working both inside and outside of SCI Phoenix not only helped pay for his funeral, but this week provided the students, teachers and staff cheesesteaks which happened to have been Jeremiah\'s favorite food. I\'ll be speaking to the principal of Wagner, Connie Grier and two returning citizens, Sam "Muscle" Carson from the FACT Experience and Malik Gilmore President of REAL Street Talk who not only helped that day but are doing many positive things in our community. Talking to them made my day.

We\'ll also talk about a very cool holiday event December 3-4 at King of Prussia Mall called Phestival of Trees that benefits animal rescues and shelters. The focal point of the event is the display and sale of spectacular holiday trees created by local designers, artists, florists, individuals, schools and community groups. I speak to BJ Zellers - Producer of PHestivaL of Trees and Grace Herbert - Finding Shelter Animal Rescue one of the beneficiaries of the event.
