We all need to find our Happy Place don’t we? I speak with Nikole Vallins Creative Producer at Faculty Productions about (wait for it) Happy Place which features an assortment of fun, larger-than-life installations, multi-sensory immersive rooms, and dozens of moments curated to “Capture Your Happy.” largest indoor Confetti Dome, jumping off a massive rainbow into a pot of happiness, and posing inside the venue’s signature tub full of rubber duckies plus much more. It is an experience that has proven to be an innovative family attraction much like a spontaneous theme park breaking out in an otherwise unused space. It was dubbed “The Most Instagramable Pop-Up in America” by Urban Daddy. I speak with Nikole about the Happy Place upcoming take over at the King of Prussia Mall. You may recall the immersive pop-up experience will be there from October 5 through January 5.

I speak with author Brittney Morris who’s written a page turner seventeen-year-old Kiera Johnson is an honors student, a math tutor, and one of the only Black kids at Jefferson Academy. But at home, she joins hundreds of thousands of Black gamers who duel worldwide as Nubian personas in the secret multiplayer online role-playing card game, SLAY. The game is infiltrated by a troll who threatens to sue Kiera for “anti-white discrimination.” The book examines Keira journey as she learns to harness how to be unapologetically Black in world intimidated by Blackness.
