La Liga del Barrio (LLDB) was founded in January of 2000 with the vision of using basketball and sports as a means to engage young people from the inner city in organized after-school activity. I speak with President/CEO Raymond Alvarez, Melinda Caraballo, Community Outreach Director and Luis Duarte, producer of the Liga Gala on April 29th which aims to raise money for La Liga Del Barrio\\u2019s plan to build a facility for the organization.
