The Queen – Aretha Franklin passed away this week at the age of 76. There is no way to fully describe the place she has held in our lives. Her music inspired and uplifted in its soaring power that transformed mere lyrics into music that spoke to the heart and provided the soundtrack to many of our lives. I had the special opportunity to interview Ms Franklin when she visited Philadelphia to perform for Pope Francis in 2015. She was gracious and down to earth and I feel so fortunate that I had the chance to speak to the queen of soul. Here’s that interview- Loraine Ballard Morrill
