Tarzan Brown was an amazing\nathlete who lived a hard, impoverished life but faced the world with dignity and\nstrength.\xa0 There are so many legendary\nand half-true mysteries about the man and his career as a runner that his many\naccomplishments might seem less interesting: but above all know this: that\nTarzan Brown was a free spirit, a man who loved to run and his very life\nhonored his brave tribal ancestors; the Narragansett people, one of the leading\ntribes of New England with a culture that has existed for thirty thousand\nyears.\n\nHis Algonquian name was Attuck-Quock-Wussete\nwhich means \u201cDeerfoot\u201d; he is a legend in our sport and one of the many reasons\nwhy the Boston Marathon is the greatest of all Marathons.\n\nShow Links:\n\n\u201cIndian On The Mountain\u201d by Red-Hawk
