There aren\\u2019t a lot of other ways that show a stronger dedication to something than to have it tattooed.
Weeks ago I was watching the movie, "Master and Commander". In that movie there is quick scene where a deckhand flashes his hands and says to a sailor, with the words "Hold Fast" tattooed across his fingers. Hold Fast means to stay tough or dig in, the phrase means to never letting go of the ships rigging, even in the midst of the worst storms.
