In this episode of In Search of the Crystal Skull, Patricia and Arun discuss about the 2004 direct to video Disney film The Lion King 1 1/2 (also called The Lion King 3: Hakuna Matata in some regions) which focuses on Timon and Pumbaa\'s perspective from the first Lion King movie. It takes place before the events with Timon not fitting in with his family after failing with protecting them from the hyenas. He leaves them behind to find his calling and the place he can call paradise. Along the way, he meets with Pumbaa and they end up in the background of many iconic scenes from The Lion King from passing by the animals when Simba is born with "The Circle of Life", knocking down the animals during "I Just Can\'t Wait to Be King", seeing the hyenas marching in "Be Prepared", and more. It also goes more into Simba\'s life during his childhood and teen years with Timon and Pumbaa until he matures into an adult where he meets with Nala and returns to the Pridelands.
