In this episode of DreamMachine, Patricia and Arun discuss about the 2006 DreamWorks film, Flushed Away. The movie is about a rich, upperclass rat named Roddy St. James who lives in a luxurious apartment in Kensington, England. But then, a street rat named Sid crashes the place to watch the World Cup and disposes Roddy in the toilet. He ends up in a sewer city named Ratropolis where he meets up with a female rat named Rita. She helps Roddy get back home with her boat, The Jammy Dodger, while she goes after an evil toad for stealing her father\'s ruby and ends up taking a cable that controls Ratropolis\' floodgates. Will Roddy get back home? Will Rita get revenge on The Toad?

Flushed Away was the third animated movie by Aardman Animations distributed by DreamWorks, but was the first theatrical film that didn\'t use the studio\'s stop motion animation. Instead, it was animated with CGI. It would be their last movie distributed by DreamWorks because Flushed Away only made $178 million dollars out of a $149 million dollar budget which the company considered to be a box office failure and ended up terminating their partnership. Since then, Aardman Animations has either teamed up with Sony or independently. Did DreamWorks release another classic like Chicken Run and Wallace and Gromit: Curse of the Were-Rabbit or did it end up in a mediocre note? Listen and find out.
