Setting the standards

b'CMS, the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services, requires that hospitals meet specific certification requirements for many of the programs they provide. Achieving certification demonstrates that the hospital meets or exceeds the appropriate standards of clinical readiness, patient safety and patient care.
