When you meet a big furry bearcat creature in the forest, you grab a hold and fly. Let's go fly a Totoro. My Neighbor Totoro was directed by Hayao Miyazaki and released on 16 April 1988 by Studio Ghibli.

The film follows two young sisters Satsuki and Mei, who with their father move to a new place while their mother is suffering from Tuberculosis in a hospital. While dealing with life altering events they meet a forest spirit named Totoro.

Truly a slice of life sort of film, which is unique for both animation and a children's movie. Totoro has become immensely popular among audiences, he's now the mascot for Studio Ghibli.
