What we just did together paints an incredible picture of what we are looking at this morning….

Col. 3:1 If you then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sits on the right hand of God. 2 Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth.

1. He ______________ us.  1 John 4:19 We love him, because he first loved us.

2. ____________________________ did He first love us?

Rom. 5:6-8 6 For when we were still without strength, in due time (at just the right time) Christ died for the ungodly. 7 For scarcely for a righteous man will one die; yet perhaps for a good man someone would even dare to die. 8 But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

A stunning picture of the Grace of God.  When? & How?

Phil. 2:7-11 7 but made Himself of no reputation, taking the form of a bondservant, and coming in the likeness of men. 8 And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself and became obedient to the point of death, even the death of the cross. 9 Therefore God also has highly exalted Him and given Him the name which is above every name, 10 that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth, 11 and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

a.    His love ____________________ a response. Psalm 63:3-5
b.    What does His love __________________________? 1 John 3:1-3
c.    The many facets of the God’s love.  Eph. 3:14-19

3. What’s our love ___________________________ say? Luke 7:36-50

Jesus paid for our ____________________________ - Jesus paid it all.

No longer can we use an _____________________ for our lack of gratitude, our praise, our worship & our witness.

What excuse? _____________________________________________________

Psalm 63:3-5 3 Because Your lovingkindness is better than life, My lips shall praise You. 4 Thus I will bless You while I live; I will lift up my hands in Your name. 5 My soul shall be satisfied as with marrow and fatness, And my mouth shall praise You with joyful lips.
