Battle Gear - the breastplate of righteousness

Brian Leifeste teaches from Eph. 6:10-20
vs. 14 Stand therefore, having girded your waist with truth, having put on the breastplate of righteousness,

Righteousness is a gift. It is a legal term based on what Jesus provided for us.

2 Cor. 5:21 For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.

The righteousness of the believer is a righteousness of faith

It has nothing to do with our works, but with the perfect sinless life of Christ that Is imparted to us through faith.
