This past summer, when the U.S. Supreme Court ruled in NCAA vs. Alston, the NCAA rules on athletes accepting benefits and earning money for their name, image and likeness changed. After decades of schools and student-athletes running afoul of NCAA rules of accepting improper gifts, now college athletes are taking advantage of their popularity with eye-popping deals.
