I (Indianapolis, indiana) Pt1: Herbert Baumeister

Published: Nov. 2, 2019, 3:50 a.m.

In this episode, Heather is joined by Danielle from Hoosier Homicide to discuss Herbert Baumeister. He was born in Indianapolis, Indiana in 1947 and died after a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head in 1996. He was on the run from police who were searching his 18-acre farm for bodies of his victims – of which they found at least 11. Now, it is debated as to whether or not he killed more than 11 and to this day, he is not technically considered a confirmed serial killer as police were never able to prove it AND he killed himself before being apprehended. His victim type was young homosexual men whom he would pick up from gay bars and take to his mansion where he would have sex with them (often using auto erotic asphyxiation to pleasure himself) and then (presumably) kill and dispose of their bodies.
